I have fine thin hair and this works great for my scalp. I wouldn't say I have dandruff exactly but I do get build up and a itchy scalp in spots. I like to wait a few days after washing my hair to use John's Master's organics scrub. That way natural oils build up and it is easier to gently spread across my scalp while protecting the ends from over drying. I start at my hairline near my forehead, laying my hands flat, barely moving them left and right. Working the scrub back towards my neck. It sounds crazy but it's very sudsy and this method works. I like to follow with John's Master's shampoo and conditioner 2 in 1. I leave it in a few minutes and rinse, sometimes I re-apply if needed. Then I cover my hair in the mask and follow with John's Master's leave in conditioner. This routine resets my hair and my scalp has no build up or itchy spots. It's smooth and my hair is fuller looking from all the TLC and deeply conditioned. I especially love this for resetting my hair after using dry shampoo. It makes it manageable again. I honestly have not been able to run my fingers through my hair and feel a completely smooth scalp since I can remember. I have use dandruff shampoos galore and psoriasis medicated options. They never once delivered what this scrub did in my first use. This is an issue so many people have and I think is overlooked or we use the wrong products. Now there is a better option that works for me.

The John Masters Organics scalp exfoliating scrub works amazing but is a bit challenging to rinse out. It goes on super thick and takes a lot of water to rinse out if you’re in the shower. It also was very difficult to dispense an amount in my hands because the scrub was so thick coming out of the tube.The scrub has small crystals of sugar cane to exfoliate your scalp nicely. After my hair was dried it felt so soft and like all oil and toxins were rinsed away! I was very impressed with the results but not so much with the application and rinsing part so just be prepared for that when using it. Definitely left my hair and scalp with that out of the salon feeling! I am very impressed overall with this product and would be willing to buy more.

I really love this scrub! I have a very flaky scalp and even after shampooing, I see flakes all over my wet scalp after a shower. It was really embarrassing and it made my hair look dirty even on the day I've washed it.

I gave this a try and had high hopes. The first time, I put it in my palm, but I realized that it would be much better to dispense it on fingers. I'll get to why I did that. I massaged some at the front by my forehead and moved back. I then went to the nape of my back and moved up. The reason why I decided to dispense the product onto my fingertips is because it was hard to get the product from my palms onto my scalp. When I was pretty much done with exfoliating my scalp, I just got the rest of the product on my fingertips and massaged it into my scalp. Much easier to do that than take it off my palms.

There's definitely a tingling effect and it felt like my scalp was really cool. It didn't hurt and it was actually pretty pleasant for me. I really liked how it felt. I left it on for about five minutes. Don't worry about rinsing it all out. It is a bit difficult, but you will rinse it all out after you shampoo.

The results were fantastic! I literally had no flakes in my hair after I got out of the shower! What a huge difference!! My scalp felt healthier and it wasn't itchy. I tend to dye my hair a lot and my scalp can sometimes feel dry and itchy. I absolutely love this exfoliating scrub with sugar cane & tea tree oil. My scalp feels very hydrated and smells amazing after one use. My hair also feels much cleaner and healthier. I think the smell is clean and noticed a difference after one use. I can't wait to keep using it and see how my scalp and hair improves.
