In the fall of 2005, while John was walking his dog Amber, they noticed a cute, energetic puppy with a bright orange vest. The dog, named Piglet at the time, was being walked by the pet adoption service Animal Haven.

John followed the pup back to her temporary home, and after just a few hours with her he knew she would be the perfect addition to his family.

Although nothing excites Maya more than a play-date with her friend Wojo or a weekend in the country, she has really taken to the salon and become a fixture of the John Masters Organics family.
